(December 2012). SMA’s Transport Group has been commissioned by RWE Npower Renewables Ltd to provide advice on another on-shore wind farm development in Powys. The site is adjacent to the A470, south of Dolfor.

(December 2012). Congratulations to Darren Marsh, Principal Engineer in SMA’s Infrastructure Design Team, who marries Nicky in Newbury on 28th December.
Pre-Christmas Rush
(December 2012). SMA’s Transport, Drainage and Acoustic Groups pulled out all the stops before the Christmas break to complete the technical reports to accompany an outline planning application for 360 dwellings at Pinhoe, Exeter.
Encouraging Results from Exemplar Travel Plan Survey
(October 2012). Martin Ohrland, Associate Director at SMA and Travel Plan Coordinator of the Southern Leighton Buzzard Exemplar Travel Plan, reports encouraging findings from the latest annual monitoring survey. Modal shift for 2012 was 24.2% over 12 hours (up from 17.5% in 2011). The number of residential occupations increased by 13% during the year and the Dash Direct bus service experienced a 68% increase in patronage. The bus service continues to thrive and is currently carrying around 2,000 passengers per week.
