Electric Vehicle Charging

Your development is future-ready—with plenty of electric vehicle (EV) charging points to help you travel greener and cleaner. With the ban on new petrol and diesel cars coming in 2030, now is the perfect time to plug into the future of driving.

Thinking of making the switch? The government is currently offering up to £2,500 off eligible low-emission vehicles—built right into the dealer’s price. Check out the full list of qualifying vehicles on the official government website.

And it’s not just here—EV charging points are popping up all over the UK. Use Zap Map to find a charger near your destination and hit the road with confidence.

Car Sharing

One way of reducing the costs of travelling by car is to ‘car share’ or ‘liftshare’. As well as saving you the money you will also help the environment by reducing your carbon footprint. It’s also a great way to meet new people and make new friends!

Car sharing can be done travelling to work, going shopping, on the school run – in fact on any journey you make!

Why not try it out, to search for other people travelling on similar routes to you? There are  public car share databases which enable you to search for journey matches and these are all FREE to use:

Residential Travel Pack

As part of your new community, a Residential Travel Pack has been created to highlight the benefits of greener, smarter travel. This plan outlines key goals and the steps we’ll take over the next three years to make sustainable transport an accessible part of everyday life.

The main aims are simple:

– Cut down the number of single occupancy vehicle trips from the site for journeys accessible by sustainable transport

– Make it easier and more appealing to travel by walking, cycling, public transport, and other non-car options

Travel targets have been agreed with Wokingham Borough Council and progress will be tracked throughout the 3-year monitoring period to ensure we’re on the right path—and we’ll adjust the plan as needed to keep things moving forward.

Residential Travel Pack

Every household has been provided a Residential Travel Pack which provides information on sustainable transport opportunities.
