Walking and cycling are great ways to boost your health, fitness and wellbeing. It is recommended that the average adult should do 30 minutes of exercise 5 times per week. Walking or cycling to work, the shops or school is an easy way to achieve this target.

Bus
Calthorpe Park School is your closest bus stop, which is serviced by the school bus services 10/410 and 610. Further to the north on Hitches Lane is the Edenbrook bus stop where you can access the bus service 7 which runs between Aldershot and Phoenix Green Monday to Saturday.
The bus services in the local area are operated by Stagecoach, where you can find the most up-to-date timetables and a journey planner.

Concessionary Fares
If you are over the age of 66, or disabled, you are eligible to qualify for a free concessionary pass. This enables you to travel on services anywhere in England between 9:30am and 11pm Monday to Friday and all day at weekends/bank holidays. To apply for concessionary travel passes, see here.
On the 18th of August (2026) the government announced that they will be lifting the weekday travel restrictions. This means that from April 2027 people who hold a disabled bus pass can travel on buses for free 24/7.
Rail
Travelling by rail provides a fast, efficient and frequent option, whether travelling for business or pleasure. The nearest station to your home is Fleet Railway station.

Home Delivery Services
An easy way to cut the cost of car travel is to shop locally. The local shops in Fleet can provide you with day-to-day basics saving you a long trip into town. There is also a selection of pubs and restaurants nearby that are accessible on foot. Why not support your local community and economy by ‘living locally’.

Travel Plan
As part of your new community, a Travel Plan has been requested by Hampshire County Council. So, what is a Travel Plan you may ask?
A Travel Plan is a document that identifies sustainable travel methods available to residents, such as yourself, as alternatives to travelling by car. The Travel Plan also includes travel targets which have been agreed with Hampshire County Council.
The main targets are simple:
These aims will be tracked over a 5-year period, during which, you may see people conducting travel surveys. By completing these travel surveys you can choose to receive a £5 voucher valid at one of the following places: Sainsbury’s, Amazon, or Halfords. Residential Travel Pack
As part of your new community, a Residential Travel Pack has been created. This Pack highlights local sustainable transport opportunities and discusses the benefits of greener, smarter, travel. Each household has received a Pack, however, a digital copy can be found below.
