Mosque Redevelopment

(April 2012) SMA has assisted the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK with the redevelopment of the London Mosque in Southfields, Wandsworth, where car parking was a key issue of concern for local residents. SMA carried out car parking surveys, prepared a Travel Plan and suggested mitigation measures to improve parking. Wandsworth Borough Council have now granted approval for the redevelopment.

(April 2012) SMA is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Awards 2012. The South Leighton Buzzard Exemplar Transport Scheme, where SMA acts as Travel Plan Co-ordinator, is shortlisted for the CIHT/Costain Award for Effective Partnerships.

(March 2012) As part of the Section 106 Agreement for a major development at Newbury Racecourse, SMA is monitoring nitrogen dioxide levels at 4 locations within half a mile of the site on behalf of David Wilson Homes. Planning permission has been secured for 1500 dwellings, new and enhanced racing, leisure and visitor facilities, a hotel and replacement children’s nursery and golf club house at the racecourse site.
