New Instruction – North Bracknell

(May 2012) SMA has been appointed by a landowner consortium to advise on transportation, drainage and utilities with regard to developing the Masterplan for a development phase of c.1000 dwellings in Warfield, North Bracknell.

Recent Planning Successes

(May 2012) Cornwall Council has resolved to grant outline planning consent for a strategic 1500 homes and mixed use (retail, employment and education) development at Langarth Farm, Truro. Acting on behalf of the Inox Group, SMA has been providing technical support on the transport, highways, drainage and noise assessments. In addition, SMA has prepared an Exemplar Travel Plan which will complement the proposed improvements to pubilc transport (new bus service and park and ride extension) and highway capacity.

Outline planning consent has also been given this month by East Hampshire District Council to a development of 150 houses in Liphook. SMA was commissioned by Easterton Estates to provide advice on highways. Access issues were a key consideration, to which SMA presented a successful solution, including a compact roundabout in conjunction with traffic calming measures.
